::Big Hugs to you::

I wanted to let you know, that my hair does not grow fast either. It used to grow very fast....but now, it grows quite slow....

I wish I could offer you some advice on how to make it grow faster, but I am not quite sure how to make it grow faster.

I hope you find an answer.

::Hugs::

I have the same problem. Everytime I blow dry my hair, I have hairs fly everywhere. Sometimes I get the short ones, and I keep thinking, well, those guys didn't have a chance. I can tell my hair keeps getting thinner. : (

i have the same problem....i tried to grow my hair out for 2 years and it was only passed my shoulders when i finally decided to cut it again...and my hair falls out by the handfuls daily...i use to think that was ok because it was so thick but i am beginning to worry alittle....but my hair has never grown fast...but i think even though i was dx until 8 years ago with pcos that i have been struggling with it since i started my cycle at age 12

Lightbulb hmm

When I hit puberty, my hair growth rate slowed to a crawl, but it grew in extremely thick (so much so the hairdresser couldn't get it into an updo for prom, it was too heavy to stay up). Probably grew 3-4" a year. After PCOS/around PCOS @ age 21 the growth rate picked up in the back/sides but slowed even more in the front, where I began to and still lose hair. *sigh*

When I was on spiro, I didn't regrow any lost hair, but my existing hair grew FAST. Like a foot a year, except the front, which just didn't fall out--good enough.

Met caused my spiro to quit working, and I shed bigtime. Hair growth average speed. Now that I'm pg, the hair growth has been super duper SLOW. I have also began to shed a bit, although it seems to be diffuse rather than male-pattern. Makes sense, they think I'm having girl and I do badly on/with extra estrogen.

I've been taking prenatal vitamins (still no baby!) for years and I don't know if it has anything to do with it, but my hair seems to grow fairly quickly. My hairdresser is always commenting on how fast my hair has grown out since my last visit..

I have long hair and I think it's more noticeable when I pull it out of my hairbrush or see it on the floor, so far I don't think that it is excessive or that my hair is thinning but it is something that I worry about very often.
