Hair Off Mitts Anyone else try them? I used them years ago, and got a severe rash. So the other day, I thought to myself "Self - maybe you just rubbed too hard!" So I tried them again, and guess what? Myself was right! I used them on my hairy arms, and now they look like a model's arms! You have to be very very patient, and go very very slowly, and not rub too hard. I rubbed very very lightly. It took a long time, but I'm glad I was overly cautious, because this time, I don't have a rash! But I learned you don't want to put lotion on right after because it'll hurt like hell. Wait a while. Today, I did my face, and again, I was very very careful. It didn't work as well on my face as it did on my arms.

I keep one in my purse in case of emergencies....you never know you might look in your rearview mirror and see a go-tee! You do need to be careful not to rub too hard. Do it BEFORE you wash your face...otherwise, your skin is too soft and it hurts!

I still had mine buried in a box in my closet, so I can't remember where I bought it, but I'm sure you can find them at any drugstore or possibly Wally World or Kmart, probably in the razor blades/nair aisle.

I've seen these at my Rite-Aid recently. I've never tried them, but it sounds easy enough, if you can keep from rubbing yourself raw.

Are they just like a really fine sand paper to get the hair off? I always wondered if they worked, lol

That's exactly what they are - really really fine sandpaper - and someone's getting rich off of them! I wish I could invent something that simple and obvious and get rich off of it!
Yes, they work, but like Mystr says, you have to be extremely careful not to rub yourself raw, which is what I did years ago.

I would think they would last quite a while. I don't know how long it would take to wear down sandpaper. I never thought about it before. Guess I should find out.
