I'm not sure what to tell you about the breast hair, but I have the back hair problem. I get waxed. My hair is jet black, so even though I'm african american it still looks very prominent. I actually get my arms, back, stomach and underarms waxed. Usually if you go to a reputable spa, they are good enough to make sure you don't get ingrowns. And after a while, the hair seems to start growing back finer.

For one thing do not PLUCk hairs, if you want to get rid of them try waxing, it lasts longer and the chances of developing ingrown hairs are minimal. Use salicylic acid scrubs, like St. Ives medicated scrub, massage gently to the area everytime you shower, it will open up the follicles and keep the hair from turning in again. Make sure to moisturize the area with a light lotion that won't clog the pores.

I'm a pharmacy tech and have had the same problem only with shaving on my thighs...and when I told my pharmacist about the problem, she recommended a medicated liquid soap called Hibaclens. And during the day, to put Neosporin Ointment on it. Hibaclens is in a green bottle usually on the first aid aisle in drug stores. Drs generally tell patients to use it on a surgery area before surgery as an antiseptic. It's been amazing for me!!

Hi tammy123

I use a loofah sponge and a body wash for dry skin in the shower. I wash the areas I shave and pluck (boobs, chin, stomach) with the loofah and I find this helps keep the ingrowns away.

I got my loofah sponge at a drugstore for only $4.99.
