Post Hair removal Questions. help needed

Has anyone tried any of the surgi-stop range in superdrug, i thinks its to slow hair growth down i'd like to try to see if it works but it's not cheap so please reply if you've tried it. Also i bought a phillips satin ice epilator and tried in on my arms
quite painful but no hair growth back 4 3 weeks. Don't know what the ice thing is meant to do though...thanks

Hi Meghen
Welcome to Soulcysters!

I've tried the Surgi Stop on my face and to be honest it didn't have much effect. If it worked I'd gladly pay £100 for it, but if it did anything it wasn't very noticable.
I have the Philips epilator as well and I now use it without the ice. It's meant to make it less painful, but I found it worse with! I've never done it on my arms - how was that? I did my stomach, bum, bikini line and legs, painful but worth it! I bet I'm creating quite a picture here of my hair growth!!)(I need to do them again but can't build up the courage!!)

Thumbs down

Surgi-stop is rubbish. Don't waste your money. All it did was sting my face and that was it.

I have had an epilator for about 7 yrs now, and a fortnight ago was the first time I built up enough courage to use it properly! It took me about 8 hours over 4 days to do my legs (not even up to my knees). Using a bag of frozen something (I used sweetcorn) to hold over my leg and numb it abit helped immensly to get going and was how I managed to do the first leg. I gave up with that after that and just gritted my teeth for the second! I am hoping it will get easier if I try doing it again though!! I don't think I could imagine doing my arms though, will have to make do with bleaching I guess.

I agree about the sugristop stuff, it didn't do anything but make my face go more red and blotchy than normal :-(

Hi

I just use Boots own make hair removal cream and finishing cream (together in a white box for about £2.50). It is really good - I only have to use it every 4 months or so.
