I am trying to get off the pill, but every time I do the roots of my hair on my head hurt when I pull my hair back in a ponytail. I also have hair that falls out too. It stops when I go back on the pill. Any idea why this happens and what I can do to make it stop? I really want to get off the pill-I am having no periods on them and feel depressed...I am thinking of re-starting my met, would this help the hair issue? Thanks!

From my point of view yes it would help you ...

I went on the pill came off it and my hair shedded like a mad woman ... it was raining out of my head ... unfortunatly I thought it would stop and it didnt and I now have male pattern hair loss I am BACK on the pill and another anti androgen drug (endocrinologist is your best bet) and six montsh down the line the shedding has slowed .... (although I have left it too late and need cosmetic options) .. and my body hair has reduced drastically .....
