Default hair slow down

Hi guys

This may be a dumb question but here it goes anyway.

Once your testesterone levels are lowered, does the hair on your body slow down, meaning the follicles do not grow as much?? or does it mean that the hair you have growing, continues to grow just new hair does not form??

I have hair on my chin, chest, and stomach that requires shaving everyday....I am in the process of getting treated now, after years of this...my hair use to be fair and now it grows coarse and balck..once my t levels are brought down, is there any chance in heck that the bidy hair will go back to being fair ..or is it one of these things that once the hair is black and coarse, it will always grow the same, low levels or not?

thanks guys

hi

no question is ever dumb!! I have been on spiro for years, and that has lowered my testosterone levels, so my hair is less , yes.

Does the growth slow down? Yes, dramatically. Does it go back to being fair and fine? The answer to that depends on how long it's been dark and coarse. The answer is probably not, if it's been coarse for years. It's a bit like when a male is castrated for medical reasons and can't take testosterone -- his beard slows down, but it doesn't disappear.
