Default Hair under belly button

The only excessive hair that I have starts at the belly button and goes down. This hair is so annoying because I will shave it in the morning and it is stubbly by night time. Because I dont have other facial or body hair, my doc doesnt think its a prob and she thinks its because I am Greek. Nonw of my family members have it though.

Anyone else have this? What do you do about it?

Of anyone has ever used permanent hair removal on this, did it work?

Thanks

I have this also! I just shave it all the time, would love to just permanently remove it as well. It seems to grow back too fast.

I have lots of hair there also. I just leave it. Only one who sees it besides me is DH. So, if he can live with it, I'm not worried about it. I've got too much excess visiable hair to worry about.

I too, have a "treasure trove" LOL I usually just shave mine bcuz it doesn't grow back too fast. I also have a ltittle bit of hair on both my big toes which I find repulsive! This gets shaved, too.
I have used wax on my legs and bikini area that helped the hair grow back very slowly. I recommend the "Poetic Waxing" kit by Bliss spa. I hurts but not as bad as some others. You can buy it online at
Bliss Spa Website
Look under "shop Blissout" , then go under "body care" to "hair removal". There are other cool looking products on the site that look interesting as well, especially the Ingrown hair eliminator, which I may try.

Barbara

Betty, I'm Greek too and I know exactly what you mean - they always think the excessive hair is due to our ethnicity. While that may play a role in it, it's not always the case.

I've never tried permanent hair removal techniques but I do know of someone who's undergoing laser treatments to remove her excess hair (but she didn't indicate where or who her doctor is).

I have it too and hate it. Some day I would love to have it lasered off.

Until then, I have found that bleaching it makes it difficult to see and avoids the prickly, stubbly feel of it growing back in if I were to shave it.

Yep, I've got it too. I hate it. I shave it but like you by the end of the day it's started growing back and as it's very dark hair it is SOOO obvious. It's also hard to get a good close shave because it's such a fleshy area (well, on me it is )

Bleach has no affect on my hair, it just doesn't seem to penetrate it, plus it grows so fast I'd have dark roots the next day!

I tried plucking when I first noticed them, about 5 years ago, but I had such awul in-grown hair that I had to stop. I dream of getting laser hair removal one day!

This is almost certainly related to a hormonal problem, doctors eh??!!!

I have that too and detest it. I wax it but that is such a pain occasionally I shave it. I also like to try to get some sun when I can because that makes it less noticable.

I have the hairs too, but mine go above and under my belly button in a nice line. What a pretty picture!

I leave mine. DH doesn't have a problem with it and I couldn't stand to see it grow in thicker and thicker should I try to shave it off. It's bad enough I have to shave my legs, pluck my chin, and bleach my stache.

I actually tried to electrolisize the hairs, but they just grew back! Yikes!
