Hello everyone

I've had a problem with hairloss for the past 3 years and I have noticed that it gets much worse before and during my period. Has anyone else noticed that? Any ideas why that happens?

Yes, yes, yes! It's awful, but I am glad to hear that I am not the only one that this happens too. I am losing my hair anyway and I have been noticing for years that I lose much more hair at that time, especially before. It is really kind of scary. It's hard not to panic and to keep reminding myself that this accelerated hair loss is only temporary. Some people don't believe me, but the handfuls of hair and the hairs filling up on my comb and brush tell me it's real. I think it's just those pesky hormones going out of whack (and they really do a number before AF) that causes it. Another "lovely" PMS symptom!

Kat, I have to say, I've never really noticed a correlation, though I've had really significant loss for the past year. I'll start paying closer attention and see if I notice a significant difference.
