Thumbs up Hairy hair: White distilled vinegar helped my hairloss

Well, it is official...I can no longer control this hair growth on my face with my tweezers alone. It is growing down my neck, growing on my back, my arms and I am losing it on my head, I feel as if I'm turning into a man. In the past I have gone to an esthetician to have waxing done to remove all this hair, but at $80 a visit, that was short-lived. I am going to invest in my own waxing pot and wax at home. In a perfect world, I would need to do this about twice a week. Twice a week! Six years ago, I found about 20 hairs on my chin and freaked out, now I get almost 100 man hairs off my face and neck a day.......and they are all back by night. I have found some things that have helped me. Sorry to say they aren't a magic pill, there is no such thing, but they have helped. I have tried to keep my stress levels low, I notice when I am stressed that the hair just comes out even faster. I don't drink sodas at all and don't eat fried or sugary foods. It has taken me a while to realize there are other foods out there besides what I don't eat anymore, though, lol. Also, I have found that doing a rinse on my hair and scalp with white distilled vinegar helps about once a month. My hair on my head has actually started to come back in. I guess the vinegar gets rid of all that gunk build up and lets the follicles breathe better.

I sat up last night and just cried, I remember in high school I was half my weight now, now hair growth, blah blah blah....as far as health goes, this has been a tough journey.

I know how you feel. I did not have very many hairs on my face about 20 years ago. I was 18 then and I was half the weight I am now. Sometimes I look at myself and I just hate what I see. It gets me depressed from time to time but I am dealing with that. I have good support from my BF (my ex husband never gave me any support or motivation). Now I am cycling on my bike thanks to the BF and he has encouraged me to quite smoking. He even got me a stop smoking kit. I am starting it on Monday. That is my cut off date for the smoking. I hope I can do it. As far as the hair goes the medicine spironalactone is helping slow the growth down but it is not going away. Until they come out with a miracle hair remover we all have to do the best we can.
