We are half way through our foster/adoption classes. We are starting to arrange our open bedroom to be less of an office and whatnot room to more of a bedroom. We have a ways to go but it is starting to feel more real.

We had originally requested toddlers and went out and got a day bed w/trundle so that we could get siblings. The decor was gender neutral -red, green, blue. However, we kept getting calls for newborns. Finally, I asked my Mom if she would be willing to babysit a newborn (I work) and after she agreed we received a 6 week old baby girl. We quickly changed the room to fit a baby girl. We borrowed a crib and other equipment and changed the decor to yellow, lavendar and pink. We have now changed the room to a Princess decor and our "daughter" just loves it. Good luck on your journey!
Yippee!! Congratulations and may your remaining wait time pass quickly!!
Good Luck!

Macrod- are you going for adoption if it works out that way or just doing foster care. We are doing foster to adopt and will be be asking for siblings toddler to school age. I have been trying to think about what to do with the room. We will probally use green paint and wait on beding ect until the last.
We left a really wide range open, so this is the plan:
We aren't painting the room, yet, but we were lucky to get two toddler beds, one is a boy bed (it's in the shape of a car) and the other is a girl toddler bed (in the shape of a castle). We are going to buy a crib and leave it in the box, just in case. Then..depending one what we get (it's very Russian Roulette) we will have our bases covered!
We made our range 0-5 years old, sibling group welcome, any race or sex welcome.
