Loopy: Congratulations!

Not such great news for me - my beta was only 20. The nurse says not to get excited.

Default Re Clinic Closure

It was refreshing to know when I had my last appointment at the clinic that the doctors were in fact looking for another space and that all current patients could move without having to "reapply" when the new space finally opens.

Hi girls, I hope everyone is well. I just thought i would give you a little in sight and maybe you could let me know what you think

So im 10dpo and i know AF will be here in a couple of days. Not looking forward to her but if she must come then lets just get her over with. I start the clomid cd 2 - 6 and then start U/S on Cd 10...i really dont know why we are even bothering with IUI, DH's morphology on his last SA was only 3%!!!!!..NOt good for IUI at all. I asked my RE what was considered normal % for morph, she said 4%. After doing some MORE research on it i found that 60% is considered normal. WHAT THE HECK IS SHE TALKING ABOUT, i almost feel like she is ripping us off money....i know YES we MIGHT get pregnant from the IUI but the chances are very low and we really should just start with the IVF w.ICSI. It feels like she is giving me false hope and i dont know how much more i can handle, i just want to start out on the right path. If this IUI fails, im telling her ok i wanna start the IVF process. Oh man how many needles do i have to give myself and for how many days, do i still take my Metformin when i take the needles...thanks girls!

Exclamation Hey ladies, Please check out Kat Carney's sticky on the top of the Canadian forum....

Here in the Canadian forum, that means that many posts are getting NO replies, and new members are forced to post their questions on a buddy thread to even get someone to LOOK at their questions. Even then, they sometimes get overlooked due to all of the 'personals'.

The long multi-topic threads, also make it hard for new members, and unregistered cysters to run board searches for information they need.

SoulCysters was founded on the idea that cysters helped each other, and it's disappointing to see that canadian cysters aren't supporting those efforts.

While I support the idea of 'social networking buddy threads', when they move beyond that and make it harder for new members to find information on PCOS, a change is in order.

Starting within a few weeks, all buddy threads will be moved to a separate forum. No points or post counts will accrue for replies to buddy threads in that forum, and threads will be deleted after 60 days (ie At any given time only your current month's thread, and 2 additional months will be on the board).

Points and post counts will only increase for posts and replies made within the Canadian forum.

Thank you for understanding, and my continued thanks to those Canadian cysters who DO make an effort to participate in the Canadian forum OUTSIDE of their buddy thread.
Good luck to all of you & don't forget to keep posting on Canadian forum!

So a thread that was about a Canadian event (a canadian clinic closing) gets moved to the TTC buddies thread?
Granted we started talking about our TTC adventures, but the original intent was news about the clinic closing, the effect etc.
As a Canadian cyster I do help out my fellow cysters as I can. That does not mean that I am going to post a response to every topic posted. (For example I'm not going to post in a thread about finding an RE in Alberta, since I live in Ontario).
As someone who is no longer TTC, and finds it difficult to navigate through the TTC threads emotionally, I find this move to be salt in the wound. It's one thing to check back in on this thread on the canadian page when people have questions about clinics in the Hamilton area, it's another to have to purposefully go into the TTC buddies section to help out Canadian cysters.

I'm not trying to start anything, just voicing a concern.

Hi,

I'm pretty new here...Not sure if this thread is still running? I just wanted to add, that I went to HART fertility clinic on Main St W.. I hope it's not the same one that closed??? We succeeded on getting pregnant with our first IUI last year and we have a beautiful 11 month old. We were planning on heading back in soon to start trying for another.

Here's to hoping the clinic is still open!
