Hey all my pagan cysters. You know what today is, dont you?? So what are your plans? I plan on sitting here.. lol.. My mom is coming over. We may see a movie. I want to see the Bourne Identity.. Maybe I will do that. Yesterday I made herbal SUN tea. I will drink that today! Tonight I will meditate and do my healing rituals that I do on every day of light!! And full moons, but other than that nothing special.. I just wanted to say.. HAVE A GREAT MIDSUMMER DAY!

The public group that I helped found, GreenSong Grove will be holding a public ritual and costume ball tomorrow night. Unfortunately in the Summer we can't be outdoors ( the park that we usually use is used for camping for inner city children in the summer) So we will be at the fellowship hall at a local UU church. It should be fun.
If I'm ambitious tonight I might go take a walk on the beach at sunset.

I wish I could have been in Florida that evening. I wish I had some felloship with other pagans. As it is, being here in the middle of Kentucky there are few pagans that are out of the broom closet. I am. I make no excuses, but I understand why some would be unwilling to come "out" so to speak. There are people here who would be mean, derogitory, or flat out abusive. Its not right, but that is the way it is.. Its so sad. I have often thought that I would love to start an open coven or group or even a UU church up here in my town.. or even just a pagan bookstore and gifts shop with an associated group.. but the only thing stopping me (besides that fact that I could never afford to actually do this) is that I fear the community reaction. I fear my store would have protesters with picket signs or get burned down or something. *sighs* Oh anyways..
If I had money I would travel around to all the festivals and gatherings every year! I think it would be so much fun. I hope your ball was fun!

I had a great solstice! I went out to a local wild life park in the area with a friend where we had ritual it was great. I am going to another solstice/Full Moon ritual campout tonight with the coven that I am associated with I am really looking forward to it.
Deni - One way to go about finding others with like minds i to post for penpals on witchy sites like witchvox we have met a few people from there and we are in rural Iowa I mean way Rural (there are more pagans here than I thought)all of us are very open in fact we have a coven house in a small town that everybody knows about. There was quite a bit of gossip at first but after time all that has died down and everybody usually leaves us alone

I read Witchvox weekly, but I did not know that they had such a thing as that were you could post and get penpals. How would I go about that? I know of only 2 other people here in my town who are pagan. I have seen their car around, and we have chatted once on the internet, but I never got to meet up with them. Now I would not even know how to contact them. Maybe though Witchvox?? I dont know.
Your coven sounds great. Yes I long for that communion with like minds and souls in my life.

this is late I know but thank you Deni for wishing a Blessed Midsummer. . . I'm closer to the colder Sabbats, especially Imbolc, but this is a good time to reflect on the God and His gifts of the forest, plains and farmers. It's also a good Sabbat to thank our farmers, ranchers and anyone associated with harvesting and/or growing food, as well as a time to learn to receive graciously.
