Hard usually painless slightly raised balls under the skin

For the past few years I have developed what seem to be cysts, just small hard usually painless slightly raised balls under the skin. I only everseem to have one in one place but Ihave them on my knee, back, buttock, shoulder, knuckles. The skin on the top tends to go dry and hard, I guess because of friction and it sometimes peels off.They are definitely not warts, boils, skintags or moles.
Anyone else got them?

I've just started getting them on the back/top of my shoulder...I have no idea what they are or how to make them go away though!

I had something like that on my upper arm. My doctor said it was just a cyst and very common and nothing to worry about. He didn't say anything about removing it - it doesn't bother me and I never really notice it is there!

I have one on my butt and also one on my shin. The one on my shin sometimes causes a problem when I am shaving my leg and I shave the skin over it by accident *ouch* . I was going to ask my doctor last time I was in but forgot- hopefully I will remember next time.
