I think I will go and see it in a few weeks when the fuss has died down.
Last time I didn't realise I had booked for a 'Special Screening'. There were crazy people dressed up as witches doing magic tricks and jokes on the audience instead of the adverts beforehand and asking loads of HP questions so you could win chocolate worms or something just as stupid. Peed me off no end with kids running about thinking they could make a chair levitate!
I haven't read any of the books and I fell asleep during the last film, yes even with all those kids lol! but I do hold out hope for this one, the adverts look good.
I am a big fan of Tom Felton (yea yea I know he's too young lol) who plays Malfoy. My boyfriend emailed him off his site to tell him I was a fan and he replied back with such a sweet email. His site is cute, he puts blogs and stuff on it quite often. Gotta love him, very nice!
Let us know what you think of the film

I saw it on Thursday night last week, went to a special adult only screening in the afternoon! It was good worth seeing, I intend to go again in a couple of weeks as I just love HP!
I am going to see Harry Potter with my Dad this week or next!
Anyone been yet?
Whilst we're discussing films. Has anyone seen the adverts for The Chronicles Of Narnia? I wish they hadn't messed about with that film, I don't think it needed re-doing with all those graphics etc.,

My mom and I went to see it a few days after it was released here in the US. It was awesome. We both agreed it's our favorite movie so far. Hope you enjoy it!

Wow that was a long film, or seemed it, no idea how long it actually was but my back killed after sitting down for so long!
I think in this film, more than the others, they assume you've read the book?? Did anyone else think that? Or have you read the book?
Also, does anyone know why Harry and Cedric ended up in the graveyard when they touched the thingy in the maze? Or was that just magic and it was already planned that Harry would touch it and not Cedric and end up there? Confused me how they ended up there anyway!
I like how all the characters have developed. I really think the guy that plays Ron will go far in his acting career. He is a genius, I mean I know he doesn't write the script but his line delivery and everything is just fantastic. I was bit disappointed how Malfoy's character seems to be becoming more of a 'joke' character than a 'baddie'. Then again, I haven't read the book so I don't know how he evolves in that.
On another filmy note, can't wait for Narnia! Am also getting all the original series (the new box set) for Christmas I used to wear my VHS's out when I was a kid watching it! x

SPOLIER WARNING to anyone who hasn't seen the film/read the books and doesn't want to know what happens!!
With regards to the whole Harry and Cedric ending up in the graveyard, the Triwizard cup had been turned into a portkey (how they got to the Quidditch world cup) by Moody/Crouch Jr who was also trying to ensure that Harry got there first, I agree it wasn't explained properly but I've read all the books so I can fill in gaps like this myself.
I agree that Malfoy's character isn't as well rounded as in the books, he has more of a part in the books I guess his part had to be cut back a bit to fit everything in.
And I agree about Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley), he's really good in the films, better than Daniel Radcliffe in my opinion.
I'm pretty excited about Narnia too, I've got the BBC series on DVD it takes me back to my childhood!!!!! The film version looks really good!
