Hi,

Just wondering if anyone has met offline before?

I was thinking it might be a good idea to start a support group in Sydney. Would anyone be interested or is this already happening?

Ive been off the boards for a while so forgive me if this has already been discussed.

I would love to get together and meet some aussie cysters. Meeting for a drink sounds great. I'm in southern Sydney, but maybe we can meet up in the city to make it easy for everone to get to??? What do you think?

Sorry Rach, I would love to meet you too. Maybe we can plan a weekend in Melbourne to catch up one day! I love shopping in Melbourne.

There was a Sydney group getting together. Here's the thread:

but I don't know if they've been doing anything lately.

Another group I was in had a weekend get-together in Melbourne about 18 months ago. It was such a hoot. The moderator (from NZ) had said he'd be in Melbourne for work and was wondering if he could meet the Melbourne members. Then a guy in Adelaide said he'd go, I said I'd come over from Tassie and a lady in Perth said she'd come too. We had such a ball.

Ive only met Annie in the flesh. I havent been around for a while but she was also trying to get a regular group together. She had met up with Mez and Angel.

Id be happy to go out for dinner etc if someone wants to arrange it! Something central would be pretty good. Hmmnnn i was just thinking about the vodka bar at circular quay but i cant remember its name. They have sooooo many flavours of vodka - my favourite is chilli!

Anyway lets do it!

I am not sure of the Vodka bar, but whatever it is, it sounds fabulous and I think it would have to be a good ice-breaker!!

I am keen, maybe if everyone could say when they would like to meet and we can go from there. I can't do this weekend, or next Saturday, but anything else will be good!

Sorry I havent been online for awhile as so busy at work that I just get home and go to bed!

What does everyone think about Sat 28th Feb? We could meet at the Vodka Bar (sounds fantastic by the way Em) have a few drinkies and then maybe go our for dinner? If anyone wants to email me directly I'm on melboy7@optusnet.com.au

I think it will be great to meet you all and even better sipping on an ice cool vodka at the same time!

What about the Friday night, the 27th? I work in North Sydney and live in Leichhardt so I am close but am not sure if you ladies work near the city etc for a Friday afternoon?

Im good for either - whatever suits everyone. If its friday ill have to pick up DS from Kindy and give him to DH (who works in the city)soooo i reckon the earliest i could be there would be about 6!

Ill try and remember the name of the bar but it is under the toaster right by the steps in the middle.

But on that note me and Dh are thinking of going on holiday to Tazmania next year so maybe we can go for a beer then Tas?
