Has anyone adopted from Russia throuh Commonwealth

We are looking at adopting from Russia through the agency Commonwealth Adoptions International. I would like to adopt an infant boy and an older girl (around 5 or 6) of course depending on the total costs involved we may only be able to afford (how awful does that sound?) to adopt one child. I am hoping they have a program to aid in the costs if we adopt an older child. We have sold our house and will close on October 15th. This is giving us the ability to spend the money on adopting. We plan to rent for a year until we buy again. My husband was recently laid off and is kind of taking his time finding a new job. I hope they won't hold the fact that we aren't homeowners anymore and that my husband is on unemplyment against us. We can show that we are financially stable so I think it will be fine. The agency is having a seminar in our local area on October 14th. That is when we will gather all of our information and begin the paperwork. We choose Russia because my husband spent 6 weeks there while he was in college and has always wanted to go back. He did learn to speak Russian so I hope it all comes back to him. Anyone else that has adopted from Russia or used this agency I would love to hear your experiences. Thanks.

It is a Russian Adoption Message Board and you will very likely find some good advice there... I think I am the only here who has recently adopted from Russia...
