Has anyone else ever tried using HONEY to wash their face?
I was recently turned to this by another lady who suffered with acne and was sensitive to many things that are on the market.
Well I will have to say that I was a little skeptic at first, but I tried it and after the second day, I could tell a difference. My face is glowing, smooth, and with LOTS less bumps.
I just wanted to share with you girls, and hope that maybe someone else has tried this!

I've not tried honey, but I have used bicarbonate of soda and made face masks with olive oil oats and banana when my skin gets really bad. The bicarb seems to control infection and the oil oats and banana calm my skin down and make it soft.
how do you wash your face with honey? what type of honey do you use? i'm willing to try anything..i've tried Proactiv before..nope, so results..lol..i usually break out along my jaw lines..i recently watched something on tv about cleaning your phone bc it could cause breakouts..and i work at a hotel, so i'm when i get to work i sanatize the phones..everyone looks at me like i'm crazy, but oh well!!

I've never actually tried washing my face with striaght honey before, but I did try a home-made mask that contained honey. I found a recipe in a magazine that included plain yogurt, honey, apple chunks, and oatmeal. . .it was supposed ot help with acne so I figured I'd give it a whirl. It was ok but sticky. It mustn't have been too great seeing how I never tried it again.
Honey is naturally antimicrobial and antibacterial. It's been used for thousands of years as a topical "ointment" if you will. Honey's good to put on burns, cuts, and other skin problems. It's very soothing to the skin, which is why you'll find it in so many skin products. If you google honey you'll come up with a billion uses. There's a ton of info on wiki, but there are a billion other sites out there about it. My favorite way to use it is to apply an even layer over peanut butter which is placed between two slices of whole wheat bread.
If you can find honey that has been produced by local bees it can help with your allergies.
yw23 -- I keep the little bottle in my shower. I wet my face, my hands, and then squeeze a little dime size squirt in my hand. I rub it all over my face and then let it sit for a second. I wash it off with the warm water.
I've been using it for a week and my face is sooo glowing, sooo soft, and very acne less.

OK I'm game, I will definitely try this one, theres nothing to lose, plus I love honey so if it doesn't work for my face I can use it on toast or something of that nature I'm sure. I will let you know how it goes I will start tomorrow.

Well i tried it and my goodness it makes my face so smooth and soft, as for the acne I am not sure if its helping or not yet because I just had AF and I have had milk lately and this combination for me is horrible acne. So i will keep trying it and see how it goes. I put it on my face prior to my shower about 5-10 minutes, that way I can do other things while its doing its job. I will keep you posted, Thanks again.
