Cool Has anyone else tried Nuvaring?

I have been using Nuvaring (vaginal ring) for about 3 months now and I just love it but I was wondering if anyone other cysters had any experience with it....

This question comes up occasionally but there is never much response -- I know, I asked a while back. I did a search for nuvaring, hopefully this will help...

I am on NuvaRing, because Yasmin made me sick every day & Ortho Evra Patch made me more sick, to the point of vomiting for several days every time I put on the first patch. And it got worse every month. My doctor finally put me on Nuva Ring, I've been on it about 4 months and I feel great. The only thing I'm starting to worry about is that my periods are getting lighter and lighter - I wonder if they are going to stop all together? If I understand it correctly, the Nuva Ring is lower dose than most other BCP's & it delivers the hormones directly to the uterus so it doesn't have to filter through your liver & make you sick. My concern with the lighter & lighter periods is that maybe the dosage is too low? But other than that I think as far as BCP's go - it's the best!!! Does anyone know if it matters how light a period is? As long as I have one is it okay?

I love the Nuvaring! I've been on it for about 6 months and I think it's wonderful. I love not having to remember to take a pill every day - in fact, not having to think about BC at all for weeks at a time.

Loved the way it worked, hated the horrific allergic reaction I had to the ring.

I had a friend who used it until she and her BF became intimate. she said it rubbed him the wrong way. i've had that prob too with "instead" which are the cups you use during menses, instead of tampons or the like. great little things, don't have to change as often, hold the blood rather than abosorbing it. just thought i'd share.
