My Mood: Points: 11,196.76 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 11,196.76 | Has anyone ever heard of post-partum thyroidism? I think my endo is a quack. He said I don't have thyroid disease....just post partum.... 40 ppl in my family have thyroid disease and I KNOW I have it. I s this a real thing? |

My Mood: Points: 1,691.74 Bank: 1,257.88 Total Points: 2,949.62 | I wasn't diagnosed as hypothyroid until my son was about a year old. Sometimes the thyroid condition is uncovered after pregnancy. Maybe that's what he meant??? I believe that once it's diagnosed it doesn't go away.
I would continue to be monitored for it on an ongoing basis - by your RE or family doctor.
