Default Has anyone experienced muscle pain with spironolactone?

I started experiencing back and knee pain a week or two after I started taking it- I am taking it for BAD acne. I want the acne gone without the pain. Please share!

Thanks,

Karen

Muscle pain can be attributed to hyperklemia, i.e too much potassium in the body. Spiro is potassium sparing so...please call the doctor and get this straightened out. Have him test your potassium levels just to make sure. Other than that, could you have pulled some muscles doing something? or fell? I hope you feel better soon, keep us posted..

Default Spin

Update-I met with a nutritionist- he suggested that the back pain was due to increased insulin with my PCOS problems. Increased insulin he said could cause swelling- my joints have also been hurting. He put me on some nutritional supplements to start out helping with adrenal function.
