OMG! I have one in my hand. I've had it since 10th grade...well, that's when I found out I had it anyway. But I didn't have mine removed. It doesn't hurt me all the time. Just when I get stressed out or if I put a lot of stress on my right hand (i.e. heavy lifting, playing my flute for long periods of time, etc.) then it'll flare up and swell and hurt for a couple of days. but then it goes away, so I've never gone through the trouble of having anything done about it.

That's not something that's associated with PCOS is it?

I had one removed from my wrist about 10 years ago. There was some soreness for a little while after but they gave pain medication. They had to remove it because it was on top of an artery. I'm not sure about the foot though. What part of your foot is it on?

Just try and relax and take it easy. I'm sure they'll talk to you a bit before they actually do it. Modern medicine has come such a long way, I'm sure they'll find ways to make it as comfortable AS POSSIBLE. Hope all goes well with it!

I had one removed from the top of my right wrist when I was in high school. It had been drained twice, but kept coming back.

My hand looked really puffy and bruised for a couple of weeks, but I don't recall any severe pain.

Getting fibroids removed...now THAT is a whole different recovery story!!!

Thanks ladies....
I don't know why i scare myself like i do, after all i've had surgery before, cyst removed from my tube in 88, gallbladder removed in 97, (which i was down for 5 wks after, could have something to do w/ the staple they left in for almost 8 yrs which they found during my c section ) then the c section in may which was the easyest on me by far go figure LOL
See Dh had 2 removed from his wrist, mom had one removed from hers they both said its fine, i hate leaving Conner mom's gonna keep him but i think thats my big worry. OK to wait for the call to let me know when and hopefully not on my birthday LOL
Thanks again you all have eased my mind
