I hope this makes since to you, because it never made any sence to me.
My first doctor put me on Prometrium to bring on AF 200MG of it, and I NEVER started.
After that not working they gave me the progestrin in oil shot (Which I HATE) not because it was a shot, just because it didn't get me regular, and i couldn't go back for another unless i skipped 3 months without a period. AND it took 20 days for that to even work on me!
Anyway, I found a new doctor since all that and she gave me 10mg provera, and I thought great 8-| another pill that wont work, but luck was on my side this time and 8 days after taking my last pill (I took them for 10 days) AF finally showed up!
