Trans Virginal Endrometrial Ablasion? Is that the same thing? You get the lining of your womb 'burnt'. But a few weeks before you go (I think it's about 5 weeks before) you have to get something injected into your stomach. My Gyn offered me that.I was booked to go in - I'd duscussed it with the Nurse too, and had an operation date.
But I decided to get a Mirena ius instead (I'm not ttc) Since having my mirena my af have got much, much less, so that seemed the way forward to me.
I know what you mean, though. It seems such a big decision. Hope this helps

After a few months she had a few spots of black blood when due for a period. It is possible to have endometrium trapped behind scar tissue which causes an 'old blood' smell. TMI but this is what her boyfriend noticed......

I saw the gyne today and he said that the Ablation Endometrial wouldn't work, he said for me to have hysterectomy ( in 3 months) I signed the papers and should get the operation date in the next couple of days.
thanks again
