My son has had an ear infection every other month since Novemember. I don't know what to do about it. I don't want him taking antibiotics every other month. My husband is into herbs and homeopathic remedies. He came home with some info on Atomic Echinacea and then today i went in and talked to the women at our health food store. They said that they themselves and their children use this and it has been known to really help with ear infections and boosting the amune system. Does anyone here use it for themselves or their children? Has it helped? Thanks for any info.

Not sure about 'Atomic' Echinacea but I use Echinacea to boost my immune system and it is really great.

It is good to take during a cold or after a cold if you are still suffering from the after effects of a cough for example.

Most people take it during the winter months to prevent catching colds and flu etc.

All I know is that some people say it is safe to take all the time and others say you should alternate one month on, one month off. I think it would be a good idea for your child, as long as you make sure that there is not an underlying physical cause of his earaches.
