Default Has anyone ovulated with vitamin D?

I just got this email through this site that I subscribe to for women with pcos. I thought it was really interesting that vitamin D supplementation could help ovulation and ttc issues. I think I am going to start supplementing with vitamin D. Any others out there taking it and seen good things?

Thumbs up

Hi,
Bad news / good news here!

I've been taking 5000IU vitamin D-3* a day for a few months now. I also take 1000mg omega 3. I haven't o'd BUT I have had certain signs and symptoms e.g. when I was temping I did think I might have caught and become pg but I don't think so now. But other things like sore boobs, generally feeling odd or different, so hormonal type stuff.

On a slightly different note my mood is much improved, my skin is much softer and smoother, and although I still suffer with spots they are shorter lived!

I believe the theories that most people in the West are vitamin D deficient and it will improve your health. I am also inclined to think that my body is perhaps on the way to sorting itself out - I have had two natural AFs EVER so I'm certainly starting from the bottom!

*this is important; cheaper supplements may use D-2 when I think all the studies showing a benefit have used D-3. Also the upper limit I heard was 10'000IU a day, even though midday/long-term sunbathing can produce 2-3 times that amount with no ill effects.
