Becky & Jen,
I am so sorry I didn't see any of your other posts because this is the first time I have really had time to be on since the boards were down.
I started seeing a new doctor and have had a bunch of bloodwork done and am now just waiting for results. She is very up to date on PCO and diabetes, and is very optimistic about my health.
Thank you for being concerned and I am so sorry to have worried you. Now that I know the site is back up I will be on here more often.
(((hugs)))
Diana

Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaah I love to hear good reports from the dr.!! Let me know how everything goes....I go to the endo on the 11th then I have to have an MRI done for high prolactin levels. Been very stressful but I'm trying not to let everything bother me. Just out of curiosity, how much does the pump run if one doesn't have insurance. I'm sure its pricey!!

It warms my heart to know that you guys missed me. I guess with all the trouble trying to get on, I just sort of lost track of when the last time I tried to log on was and it was longer than I thought.
I did get a bill from insurance before they covered it and it was about 6500 total, but that included all the starter stuff. The first time I had to get resevoirs for the insulin, infusion sets, alcohol wipes, skin prep wipes, batteries, an inserter - makes it much easier to put the needle in, you place the insertion needle in the little hand held inserter and just push a button. It goes in so quick you don't feel it and I think some gauze and stuff, but you don't need all that. All I ever use are the resevoirs, infusion sets, batteries, skin prep pads and alcohol wipes.
I also received a bill when insurance paid for my records and they had negotiated a lower price, so they only paid about 5,000 for everything. It kills me that without insurance I would have paid over a thousand dollars more for the same stuff. Go figure.

wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwooooooooooooooooooooheeeeeeeeeeee . Holy Cow!! Well, I pray that I will be able to be put on the pump. Did you ask your dr. for the pump?? What did you say to your dr. Or did he ask you about the pump?? I'm just praying insurance will cover this, becaue I think it will be good for me. Diana, do you think insulin alone can help us to conceive, or do you think we NEED to be on both Gluc XR and Insulin?? I really don't want to be on the Gluc anymore, but I don't want that to make it so I don't conceive as well...what are your thoughts??
