Default has anyone treated their Hypothyroid naturally?

All my labs are supposedly normal yet I still have just about every single symptom of hypothyroid. I saw an ad tonight for a chiropractor that treats fibromyalgia (which I've been dx'd with) and it went on to say that he diagnoses thyroid trouble using the Barnes temperature test. Being curious, I looked into it and basically, if your bbt is under 97.8* on the average, there is a thyroid issue (according to the test). Mine is always 96.?* So, I'm going to ask my current chiro about it on Thursday but was curious if anyone has treated or is treating it naturally or through chiropractic care?

i dont know about treating hypothroidism without drugs, but I know i was told certain foods should be eaten with care if you might have hypothroidism because they interfer with your thyroid function (and now with my meds). the biggest one for me was soy (which i wasnt told about until after my thyroid was removed and was on meds for a while)- seriously soy is in everything AND i love it.

I would suggest yoga. Particularly shoulder stands and poses that encourage thyroid function. As llama said avoiding soy should help, and cabbage. Give it a good google and you should find some helpful info.

For what its worth I was experiencing some symptoms and my dr suggested those things to me. My fatigue has improved greatly and so has the cold limbs. Also walking or bike riding 30 minutes a day helps rev things up. Good luck
