Hi ... I am curious about trying some other non-prescription alternatives to treat PCOS. I have found a few articles on the web about Ambrotose and have heard some fabulous things about it. I also met a woman on a plane who raved about Juice Plus. I'm curious to know if anyone has tried either of these.
Hey, my sister has gotten me interested in Juice Plus, and when I get some more money, I am going to order it from her (she just started selling it, in addition to taking it). I haven't heard anything about it being for PCOS. Did the woman who told you specifically mention that, or was she just talking about it in general? I know several people who are taking it, and they dont ever get sick, even when they normally would in the winter, etc. I'm excited to start taking it.

Dx with Type 2 diabetes 6 years ago and with PCOS 3 years ago.
Currently taking 2mg Amaryl and 2000 mg Glucophage, gymnema sylvestre, chromium picolinate, and zinc.
She was just talking about how great it is in general. She's been dx with breast cancer 3x and swears that the Juice Plus has saved her life. She is sure that it can "cure" almost anything. We started talking about PCOS and she said that Juice Plus is really good for just regulating your body and helping things to function properly, so I doubt that it could hurt.
The Ambrotose was mentioned to me by a friend yesterday. Her MIL took it after open heart surgery 30+ years ago and now shows no signs whatsoever of ever having had the surgery. A Dr. here in town is doing a research article on the remarkable way in which she has healed. He is requesting all of her medical records as proof that she did have a problem and went through the surgery because he says there is no sign of it now. I was curious to know more about Ambrotose, so I searched for it on the web and noticed some articles that mentioned PCOS.
I would definitely be interested in trying one or both of these.
My aunt has taken Ambrotose and Phyt-Aloe while undergoing radiation and chemo for bladder cancer and breast cancer.
The doctors have actually said to her "Whatever it is you're putting in your water - KEEP DOING IT" because they've been so impressed with her health. She's over 70 years old, yet didn't even lose her hair during chemo.
As far as PCOS, I'm not sure if it would help or not. I think addressing the insulin resistance is the most important part of treating PCOS.

I take ambrotose and find it very good for overall health and energy.

The glyconutrients in this supplement:
-Are important in regulating blood glucose levels and insulin release.79 ,80 ,81 ,82 ,83
-Are important for the release and proper transport of hormones throughout the body.100 ,101 ,102 ,103 ,104 ,105
I know someone who takes PLUS to get pg (she has PCOS) - these are all Mannatech products. I was involved with this for awhile as a business - while I think the products are good, the business part isn't, I can't swallow the pills so had to go for their phyto-bears or the bulk stuff. Haven't been on it for awhile - I noticed more change in myself just eating right and excercising.

Wow! I may try those later on this year. I have been treating my PCOS with DCI (d-chiro-inositol) 600 mg daily, and think it's a true miracle. Some people find it expensive though (about $75-150 month depending on your dose). For us, it was worth it. The theory is that PCOS are missing a certain chemical (DCI) that helps process insulin.

Never wrestle with a pig. You both get dirty, and the pig likes it.

Where do you get this and what is it (drug, vitamin, etc.)?
