Default Has anyone tried homeopathy?

Hey there everyone! I was just wondering if any one of you has ever tried homeopathy as a 'cure' for PCOS. I recently met someone who is a doctor in this stuff and I wondered if maybe she could help me. I have a problem with hemorrhaging if I bleed. I'm on Marvelon bcp now continuously (no break for periods) but I'm getting married soon and just wanted to know if there's any hope for something natural... please advise!!

Thank you very much!

I have tried several natural things for my PCOS and didn't have any luck with any of them helping, but some women have had good results with things natural.I am currently seeing a Physical Medicine doc.who has me on natural progesterone, and 4000mg daily of fish oil. I don't have periods at all on my own and am hoping the cream will help me to start having periods.I have been on it for almost 2months now and I spotted for 3weeks but no period yet. I also saw a Naturalist doc.several years ago and she had me on tons of supplements and none of them worked. So I think it just depends on the persons body. The nice thing about trying the natural route is you tend to not have side effects like you do on meds.GL!!!!

Hi Chantel,

I am not allowed to use the word "cure" because supposedly PCOS is an incurable condition, but I have put my PCOS "into remission" using natural alternative remedies. I have read the stories of quite a few others on this board who have also put their PCOS into remission using natural alternatives.

Some have used diet & exercise, juicing, raw foods, cleansing, herbs or other types of natural alternatives.

I used candida control. That is to say that I have used herbs, enzymes, and other types of things that are targeted to control candida in the body.

You can check out the alternatives remedy board to find some of the experiences that others have shared.

The type of treatment you'll most benefit from will be based on your symptoms - not simply pcos 'in general.'

More than likely, however, very few remedies can overcome poor lifestyle choices, so also try to find a practioner who gets you to look at 'everything' in your life (sleep, physical activity, stress, etc).

In many cases, an overhaul of those + your way of eating can 'cure' many of the symptoms, so you're left only having to treat a small number of problems via eastern or western therapies.
