Default Has anyone tried Saw Palmetto?

On one of the Healthy Woman web sites I looked at said that Saw Palmetto will help with the unwanted hair growth. It is a vitamin that I have been taking with Metformin I was just wondering if anyone has tried it. I guess if it does not work I will at least have a healthy prostate...LOL

I have tried it. It worked a little. I still had hair, but instead of having to nix it daily, I was down to twice a week.

I used it and it helped dry up some of my oiliness which I have problems with causing me acne and terribly greasy hair. I only stopped because I decided to try some other herb preparations that I couldn't take Saw Palmetto with.

It didn't work at all for me. In fact it made everything worse. I gained weight rapidly, got very depressed, my hair got worse, acne went nuts and my period disappeared altogether!

I must say, I have had cyster friends who it has worked for, but just be aware that if it doesn't work for you, it can be nasty in the opposite direction.

It's worth giving it a try, but if you do get any negative reactions, stop it right away because it does take awhile to work out of your system.
