Has anyone tried stinging nettle root?

I want to try something different than saw palmetto as I think that is what has been making me gain weight over the last year (about 40 pounds) after having lost 70 pounds before starting it. I'm looking for an alternative for excessive hair issues and have seen stinging nettle mentioned. If anyone has any experience with this one or something else that has worked for them, please let me know.

I'd like to know if anyone is taking Nettles with or without Saw Palmetto. I tried Saw Palmetto and it did nothing for me. Now, I'm thinking of trying Nettles, but I don't know if it would be pointless to try that alone. Should I pair with Saw Palmetto?
