Default This has to be a fluke, right?

Hey ladies!

I was taking Metformin last year for about 6 months, while we were TTC our third. At the time, the Met did not regulate my periods, but the Clomid we added to the mix did.

We decided to stop TTC because the emotional stress of it was becoming disabling. I am on an anti-depressant to deal with panic attacks and anxiety. It was just too much. Because I felt like a pill factory, I stopped taking the Met.

So...

I decided to again go back on it, since I ended up gaining 20 lbs since stopping it.

I have not had a period in roughly 6 or 7 months.

I started taking 1500 mgs of Met yesterday. (I don't bother to slowly build up, I am a balls to the wall kinda gal).

Anyhow, ONE day on Met, and I wake up today with old Aunt Flo knocking down my door!

Is this coincidence?

Probably not...but did your doc tell you to take 1500 mg? That seems pretty high..

Hmm...I don't think that's high? I was on that dosage when we were TTC. I've seen women on here on 2000 mgs even.

Seems like it would be a coincidence after just one day, but you never know!

1500mg Met isn't high at all. You're right, plenty of us on here are on 2000mg.
