Well I decided to have a d/c to find out why I keep m/c, this is my second one in seven months. The doctor that did the procedure left the fetus in me. I know this because I get a call from my RE saying I need to come in for u/s and lab work to see if they can locate the pregnancy since there was no fetal tissue from the d/c. I am in totally shock, since than I have m/c naturally.

I'm sorry this has happened to you. I don't want to scare you or anything but have they discussed a possible tubal pg to you? During my last m/c, my dr wanted to do a d/c because he thought it might be in my tubes but when he did an u/s we found it was in my uterus and I opted to m/c natural. When he described the procedure to me he said he would do the d/c, test the tissue for pg tissue and if there wasn't any then it was a tubal and he would give me a methotrexate (sp?) shot to disolve it (they can't get into the tubes when doing a d/c). There are many women on this site that have had the shot and it does have some s/e but totally worth it compared to the alternatives. I could be totally wrong about this and I hope I am but I wanted to let you know what was told to me. I hope this is all over soon.
((((more hugs)))

Stephanie, we did the u/s it showed the fetus was still in my uterus. My doctor did mention a tubal but ruled out with the u/s. The other doctor just did not get the fetus out. I am still in shock that he missed it. So much for having the fetal tissue tested, urgh!!
