I would think it would make you a little moodier because your hormones are doing what they are supposed to do now that you are on Met. So we may be suffering from pms.

I can totally understand about biting someone's head off....it just comes on all of a sudden. It might be from the increase in progesterone in the second half of our cycles. My gyne had me take additional progesterone to bring af on and i was a total witch with a B during those dreaded 10 days. It just comes out of nowhere. My husband knows to just stay away.

Hang in there!

I have been on Met for 1 week, 1 day. OMG!!! I'm like a rollercoaster!! Yesterday I cried because my dh opened the Diet Coke and got a glass before I had some. EEEEK!! I think our bodies are flipping out because we haven't had these hormones in a while so we're flipping out. Hopefully it will get better---before I have to put a lock on the fridge....

I'm so glad to hear I'm not the only one that has been this way. I started bawling the other day because I was at a red light, and the truck in front of me had this young couple. The guy reached in the backseat and pulled out a rose and handed to the lady with him. I was crying so badly that when I got into the parking lot at Wal-Mart, I had to sit in my car a few minutes before I could go inside. I have been so moody, it feel like my emotions are all over the place. I go from being irritable to crying. I hope it gets better once my hormones straighten out!

I think you are getting PMS, lol, which is not such a bad thing anymore since it means your hormones are getting normal!!! I now get two days of being emotional right before my period, and my boobs get really sore(sorry if TMI) but welcome to life with periods, hehehe!

You ladies are exactly right, it is hormone regulation is all. Our hormones are so steady with PCOS, and now all of a sudden, you try to be like "normals" and it is hell week. Try to remember though... they have had years of dealing with this, and it is new for us. (ever notice how girls always get really impossible when they are about 11?)
But try to remember, with PCOS, progress comes with pain. Just as a miscarry is progress compared to anovulation. I have tried many things, and have 3 kids to show for it... but I also have insane actions that surfaced too. (ie. driving past my workplace for 10 miles and not knowing why, or crying REALLY hard for 20 minutes straight, then laughing uncontrollably for the remaining hour). Just relax and give yourself plenty of time, and try not to bite your tongue until it bleeds *ouch* Remember in moments of clarity, to let those you love know that this is hyper-hormonal torture, and you are sorry. And when a co-worker asks you to repeat something, try to restrain the urge to implant the pen you are holding deeply in his/her skull you might get fired for behavior like that. hehe

lavender can be very claming, get some lavender baby oil (johnson & johnson.. in the baby aisle, purple bottle), and put some on your chest . And celestial seasonings makes an herbal tea called "tension tamer" it has a picture of a girl sitting on a dragon hehe. That can help too.
Best of luck

BTW 3 kids... one on clomid, one on met, and one on SERIOUS carb reduction
