Default has nioxin shampoo worked for anyone?

Hey, heard that Nioxin has helped with hair loss and re growth. I am really trying to figure out how to save what is left of my hair. It is falling out so bad and I can see my scalp. i am only 26, I cant believe this. Just was wanting to see if there were any sucess stories with this. Thanks.

I used to work at a beauty supply that sells to professional hairdressers ,which I am also, and we sold Nioxin - a lot of people liked it and swore by it- but it can be confusing because it has so many products in the line- and it can be very expensive to buy at the retail prices- There is another brand by Biosilk called Power Plus - it comes in two formulas a regular and a chemically treated -which just means it has some form or moisturiser in it. My dad uses the one for chemically treated hair because his har is gray and wiry and he needs the moisture. He loves it. Everyone can tell a difference. He has been using it for a couple of years now. I know his
hairloss is different from yours probally - but you might give this a try if the Nioxin doesn't work. If you can find someone to help you choose the right Nioxin products for you I wolud say to take the help because there are so many products. The power plus has a starter kit with 3 items in it- it is designed to last 30 days. It should cost you around $40.00 retail. The Nioxon also has starter kits - I can't recall the price - but they come in a couple of formulas too. Hope this helped some.

I use it on my grandmother, who you could see her scalp on top of her head, and I cannot see her scalp anymore. I swear by it. It also helped dh too. Fortunately I am one of the lucky cysters who isn't losing their hair, but I am a hairdresser, and I do swear byu the stuff. I know it does not work for everyone, but I have had good experiences with it. Its worth a try right? What can it hurt? They also make vitamins, I have heard good things about them, but I have never tried them on anyone.

My 5 yr old uses Nioxin.. She has very thin hair and her brother pulls out patches.(no I dont let him but he is 2 and well tries his limits) anyway. From what I think about Nioxin if your hair is that thin you may want to use a different shampoo. I don't think it works that well. However my daughter loves the minty smell lol.
