I just started taking Vit D about a week and a half ago after reading an article in womans world magazine. I think I started off taking too much though because my breasts have REALLY been bothering me! each pill was 400 iu and I started off taking 5 a day. I cut back to just 1 or 2 a day...

Ok, I have been taking Vitamin D - just took my first pill this week 50,000 units take 1 a week for 8 weeks and my breasts have been itching terribly - didn't know what it was but now wondering if this could be it?

I take just 400 IU a day, plus about that amount in my multi. I haven't seen any real "results," but I do know I am prone to SAD and, while I do feel a bit better in that regard, I don't know if it's due to the D or the weather getting better.

I was originally taking 1200mg D in the form of a vit d/calcium supplement. However, that was not absorbing properly and my levels were low. Vit D3 is the best form. That's what got my levels back up. I had to take 2000mg/day, but it's not recommended to go that high unless you know your D levels. Too much D isn't good either. I took NOW brand liquid capsules.

I feel I have more energy and brighter countenence since starting Vitamin D 2000IU daily about a month ago. My Vit D blood level was 20.7 before I started so I knew I needed it.
