I have hashi's and PCOS and I do not get AF without birth control pills or Provera (which I HATE). I do wonder if it is the hashi's, but I have gotten no reference to this from the doctor. I have lost 44 lbs altogether and my androgen and insulin levels are now in the high end of "normal" range. So I don't know. Even with the met and diet and lots of excercise, I still don't get AF on my own after almost 2 years of treatment. In the past (before treatment) I have had anovulatory AF cycles irregularly with weight gain that then turned to too heavy/too often AF and anemia.
Well that is my story anyway.
Best wishes to you.
