I've just come back from my endo. He said that with a TSH of 4 and a high anti-TPO count (plus other symptoms) I most probably have Hashimoto's thyroiditis (I knew it already but I had never been officially diagnosed). I asked him about my terrible hairloss and he said that he doesn't think it's androgenic alopecia but an autoimmune type of hairloss. He says that could be happening because I already have one autoimmune condition . Anyone ever heard anything like that?
Anyway, he won't medicate because he doesn't think it's serious enough.
