hi deann, i posted a reply but its not showing up so here goes again. we are adopting from the oregon state foster system. i don't think those things are going to affect you. they want to be sure the child is going into a stable, loving home now.as long as there are no convictions for violent crimes and your family is stable and loving and you can support the child/children. they will ask about your past to make sure all issues are resolved. they will also do a criminal records check, so be really forthright about your past. what i would do is call and make an appt. with a state adoption worker and tell them the issues you are concerned about and see what they say. you have been marrried for 4.5 years that is a lasting relationship. check out
www.happymomanna.com it is a group of mostly adoptive moms who adopted thru their state. they are very knowlegeable any friendly. hope to see you there! let me know if you have any questions!
