I lost weight easily on that pill. Unfortunately, it didn't control my cycles well so I am on another one and the weight comes off much more slowly. But I did lose about 5lbs a month on Yasmin when I was really working hard at it.

Hey - I am on my 2nd pack of Yasmin and LOVING IT! I have lost 15 lbs (10 this month) without even trying. It's funny because for months prior to this I worked out so hard and ate virtually nothing and was still gaining and gaining and gaining... I finally gave up, started Yasmin and yesterday at my doc visit I am down 10 lbs this month! I can't believe it - I feel like I am getting my body back! If I can drop another 15 or 20 I will be extatic and become the poster child for Yasmin!

Good luck!!

Maybe Yasmine has better weight loss effects than does Diane but I found with Diane the exact opposite. I was about 153lbs while on diane - went off it and lost 10 lbs within about 4 months. I just went back on diane two wks ago and gained almost all of that 10 lbs back.

Sigh........... the mission continues.

Default I am the poster child for Yasmin!

It is an awesome pill for PCOS. I have lost about 40 lbs total in the last 4 years taking the combination of Yasmin and Metformin ER. It totally takes the water retention/bloat off and the only complaint I have while taking it is the fact that I do have cyclical headaches at the end of the third week. Almost as though my body knows to start cycling...odd I know. It has regulated my cycles and brought me within a normal range for my 5'0 frame. I am 111 lbs (down from 147) with alot of hard work and exercise but getting hormones under control has been the key to my weight loss. I am truly a new person...I am singing a song for yasmin! I have been taking Yasmin about 3 1/2 years right after it came on the market in the United States and I read about it on this site...amazing drug and Metformin ER is a miracle in my eyes!

Blessings!

Candace

I don't remember losing any weight when I started it but I have heard of others who have.

Candace, I know exactly what you mean about the headaches. I usually get a bad one for one whole day about 2-3 days before AF comes. It is weird. I call them hormone headaches.
