After all this endometriosis, my IBS, starting Met for the first time, Provera, Niacin, low carb (which I am having REAL trouble sticking to)...I started to spot this eve. This is the first spotting I have had in YEARS...I hope it turns into AF...but as of now it's barely anything. My stomach is SO bloated, I feel like I could burst! Normally, I am a true neat freak..my house has to be just so..well..I am slacking big time. My DH has kept it up for me...but I feel like I am not doing my part. I just can't seem to get past this slump I am in. I don't know what to do. I feel as though I am loosing control of my body..and mind you, I have had 2 back surgeries, one neck surgery(metal plate and 4 screws in my neck), carpal tunnel and trigger finger surgery, gallbladder surgery, breast reduction(1995), nerve damage in my left leg from last back surgery, GERD, TMJ, panic attacks and my list goes on(but that's the gist of it)...I am 31 friggin' years old..not 80. I can not seem to comes to terms why I am enduring all of this, starting with my PCOS Dx in 1995. I can't even leave my house in fear of my IBS...unless it is a short distance and I know there is a bathroom there. I am so sick and tired of being sick and tired. I talk with my DH, my doc's, family and friends, but nothing seems to be working for me. I feel like I am falling...thanks for letting me vent!

Oh Lala, I can somewhat relate despite not having half the dx's and surgeries as you have had. What you have to remember is that the problems don't make you who you are; they're a part of you, but they're not you. Does that make any sense?
Since we're so close in location and both military, I want to make a suggestion to you. I think you should try hypnotherapy. Hear me out. I went last year (feb 04) at the advice of my family doc to help me out with quitting smoking. I went in half jokingly and half hopeful that the damn thing would work. I quit smoking that day. I think that speaks volumes.
I continued going to him for weight loss hypnosis and then shortly after got the dx of PCOS and then I knew it wasn't all in my mind about gaining weight and not being able to lose it.
I've sent so many people his way and I want to start going back. He can help you ease tension, panic attacks, feel more in control and solidify your resolutions.
Regardless of how you feel about hypnotherapy, this is something that the NAVY pays for and what have you got to lose?
His name is Jerry Tarr and he's been a board certified hypnotherapist for the last 35 years. He's goooood. He's located inside of the Portsmouth Naval Hospital in the PLUS clinic (what used to be building 215..i don't know what the heck they're calling it now). I hope you'll consider it. I can get you more information if you'd like (numbers, exact location, etc.)
There are lots of goodies hidden at the navy hospital....I'm having laser hair removal today...paid for courtesty of the Navy bc it's caused by a medical condition. They do facial hair removal at the ENT clinic and other places on the body at Dermatology...Don't know if hair in the wrong places is on your list, but just another thing to consider.

I too can somewhat relate...the panic attacks, IBS, endo, being so depressed that I can't seem to get anything done. DH does a lot around the house for me too. I was in a car accident Jan 03 and that certainly didn't help the situation. I hope the spotting turns into af for you, and maybe consider Razz's suggestion. Hope you start feeling better soon

Thank you both for listening and making me feel a bit better. I will ask about the hypnotherapy...I will try anything once Do I need a refferal from GYN or something. This is my 1st time with civilian doctors as PCM's..so I would imagine a refferal would be needed. Thanks so much for the info...I had NO idea Tricare covered these types of procedures...I may try the hair removal as well. Amber, thank you for your words of encouragement...I am so sorry we are all going through these hard times...it has to get better, eh? I pray so! Thanks again cysters!

Above is the link to the Portsmouth Naval Hospital. I'm looking for some info for you on the PLUS clinic.
I'm not sure if you need a referral or if you can just call him up.
His name again is Gerry Tarr and his phone number is
757-953-5179
Call him up and see what is needed to schedule an appointment.
Best wishes to you.

Laura-hang in there, try to remember that this will pass, you have a lot on your plate, I'm right there with you. EXACTLY!
I don't like to advocate, but just wondering if you've considered antidepressants during this time, not sure if you are on any now? I HAD to start last Sunday or I was going to be in real big trouble. Possibly the spotting may be AF trying to break through. The Met made my tummy bloated as well, but cysters are saying that it gets better in time and that it does often get worse before it gets better, that's why I don't want to give up on re-trying the Met just yet. Drink LOTS of H20
Cut yerself some slack-(the pot calling the kettle black) Try to rest too please, I hate to hear you feeling so bad.
I've felt like 94 rather than 34, I understand you sweetie.
Please just keep on keepin on, and my thoughts and prayers are with you--pm me anytime, and btw~check your pm's
