Default Having Period since 6/16~suggestion

I was officially dx with PCOS in March. I have been having my period since 6/16; I have not been bleading real hard, usually just a few pads a day and a few days with a tampon too. I have had a lot of blood clots (especially the last several days). I have had a period that lasted 2 weeks; back in 10/06 (I then got pg, but had a MC in 12/06). Has anyone else had this problem, do you have any suggestions on what I should do?

I would reccomend talking to your doc and seeing if they have any options for you. My doctor tried a hormonal treatment to help progress my flow and when that didnt help and I had a period for four weeks, he did a d&c to ease my suffering.

Thank you for your help. I will probably call my Dr in the morning. As I mentioned earlier I have had a 2 week period before but not almost a month. What is a D&C like?

Hello,
I am new but know exactly what you are going through. I have been bleeding since May 18th! I thought this was my regular cycle when it began, but when it continued for 2 plus weeks I began to get concerned. Then I had an episode of severe pain in my right side that radiated up my side and shoulder. Went to ER and they diagnosed me with ruptured cysts on my right ovary. Later found out this wasnt the case when the bleeding continued for weeks even after a Provera withdrawl. Then went to my PCOS Specialist and found out I was PREGNANT! :-O What a shocker. They think it was a tubal pregnancy or miscarriage. Why they didnt diagnose at ER I have not a clue. I havent been pregnant since a miscarriage over 7 years ago and I have a sone thru IVF who's 10 yrs. Anyway... I guess what I'm rambling about is to watch it and you probably really need to call your doctor if you continue to bleed this way. It could be as simple as a Provera withdrawl or a DNC to restart your cycle. Best of luck to you. Keep us posted!

Good luck! I was going to tell you that I had a D&C last year and it was painful for the first day and I bled heavily for a day or so and then I felt better. My D&C was for a missed miscarriage, though.

I was lucky, I didn't have to have a D & C when I MC, but I'm a little nervous that they might say I will have to have one now. This af has been really weird, there have been previous times when I have been really sore with cramps/back aches but I really haven't had any of that. The only time I feel a little cramp/back ache is when i've either just passed a big blood clot or about to, but then it goes away.
