Default Having problems wearing nice clothing.

Do any of you have acne so bad that, it makes you feel so embarrassed about going outside. Summer is coming and, I don't really wan't to go out because, all those cute dresses and tank tops, I can'y wear due to the constant breakouts that cove 1/3 of my body. I had a dermatologist ask me if, I had adult onset chicken pox.
I wen't to the dermatologist another time, and the male dermatalogist had a few other female dermatologist come in to view my breakouts. When the left the room, I could the females saying how disgusting it was, that I had a bad breakout on my chest area. It was one bump, that was cystic and after hearing them talk in the halllway, I became depressed. When the male doctor came back in, I asked what can be done about acne associated with PCOS, he did not look very hopeful, at least he was sympathetic, unlike the *****y female doctors.

The reaseon why this has become an issue to me, is because my boyfriend want's me to wear nice clothing, but I an totally uncomfortable with what PCOS has done to my body.

Sorry you went through that!
How unprofessional of them I would certainly write a letter to complain about the way they treated you and how you overheard them acting like a bunch of idiotic highschoolers, people like that should not become DRs!!!

I can't wear all kinds of stuff due to scars left over from my bad acne years and my hairy arms. It does make shopping hellish at times, especially looking for summer clothes.

The only thing that stopped my cystic acne was accutane, I think some cysters have had success with spiro (I've never tried it myself though).

Best of luck, hope you find something that works for you and a better derm dr!
