I was recently diagnosed and i am having a tough time dealing with everything. I have also developed endometrial hyperplasia with atypia due to the prolonged lack of attention to the pcos. I am emotionaly overwhelmed although i am glad i finally know what is going on with my body. My oncologist has me on megace to reduce cell growth and i am praying for its success. i am trying to take baby steps but i can not help wondering what is instore for me. I am 27 and in a relationship that has not been doing well. My emotions are on a rollercoaster, i am having meltdowns occasionally i just lock myself and cry for hours. I am not a people person and i dont have friends to talk to about this so if any person has a suggestion reply. thanks

Welcome to the board. This site is really great for support and info.
We have all been where you are now. It's scary to find out you have PCOS but at the same time you are so releaved to finally know what is wrong with you.
I apologize for my ignorance, but is an oncologist for treating cancer??
It's tough to be in a relationship when you have PCOS. For me my emotions are all over the board, its tough for a partner to deal with. As my husband pointed out to me PCOS is not an excuse for abuse. You need to do what is right for you. If this guy can't deal with your health issues then you are better off without him.
Hang in there it's a long slow road to figure out what is the best course for treating your PCOS.
Welcome! I hope that you find many wonderful women to talk to on your journey with PCOS. I know having this board has been a tremendous help for me and for my husband.

i need to be treated by an oncologist becouse i developed atypical cells in my uterus hence he is trying to make sure i dont develop endometrial cancer. therefor this is delaying my pcos treatment for a while.
