Default HBA1C Gone Up

Oh well I got the results of my HBA1C again today and its got up from 7.8 to 8.8 using just the 2000mg of Metformin.

So my GP has now prescribed me Gliclazide which I’ll start next week, just got to pick up the prescription from the chemist.

My Cholesterol has also gone up to 5.1 which shocked me, although I guess my diet has not been too good recently, been comfort eating with the problems I am having…

I guess I am going to have to really get my a*** into gear now and start taking a bit more care…

Why oh why am I doing this to myself...

Wishing you luck... I had to take advantia along with met to control my sugar. Met is not the answer for everyone...hopefully your new meds will help!!

Despite trying and sticking to everything including my meds.... it went up again on my 6 month review to 10.6!!!!!!!!!1 AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

So now I've also added Avandmet (2mg / 1000mg) twice a day! Been on it just over a week but can't say I've noticed a difference in my blood sugars!

I was on Met and Gliclazide in the past, be careful as you may experience hypos with the Gliclazide as it kicks your pancreas to produce extra insulin. So make sure you try to have a good diet Mazarin. Hope it works for you..

Been on the Gliclazide since last August but it didn't work at all, never even went anywhere near a hypo on it.... like swallowing smarties!

Now as well as the Gliclazide I am taking Avandamet which is something called Rosiglitazone @ 2mg and Metformin @ 1000mg per table twice a day (morning and evening). This way now I stopped my normal Metformin I am actually taking 2 pills less a day with it being a combined drug!
