HCG & Clomid

Found out today that since Clomid/met alone didn't work for me...my next cycle i will be starting the HCG shot with Clomid.

I didn't ovulate with clomid/met...

Anyone ovulate successfully with clomid and HCG shots or didn't ovulate with HCG shot and Clomid? How much clomid did you start with the HCG shot?

Also.... what kind of U/S do they do to check for follicules? How often do you go in for U/S's? And what Cycle days do you go in for U/S's?

I o'd on 100mg of clomid with an hcg trigger shot. As far as the u/s my RE did vaginal u/s starting on cd 12 to see if any follies were growing. Then I'd go in every other day for them to do follow-up u/s to check the follicle growth.

When we conceived DS, I went in on cd 12 and one follicle was growing, so I went back in on cd 14 and then again on cd 16. Since that one follie was looking really good, my RE had me wait one more day for the hcg trigger. So on cd 17, I gave myself the shot and we BD that night and two nights later. So I figure I conceived on cd 18 or 19 bc nine months later, DS arrived!

BTW, I noticed in your siggy that you are on 850mg of met and your DS was conceived with 1700 of met. I was taking 1500mg of met & only needed 100mg of clomid. Do you think your doc could up your dose of met since that what seemed to work for you the last time?

Thanks for the info!!! I'm sorry my siggy confused you! i'm taking 850mg met twice a day..so i'm taking 1700mg a day! The same as before.
