Question HCG Level question, please help, I am confused!

Hello everyone, it's been a long 5 days. I had an ultrasound last Thursday at what was supposed to be 8 weeks, 1 day. The ultrasound measured at 5 weeks, 5 days. My doctor had my HCG level's drawn and they came back as follows:

Thursday evening, 30,752
Saturday afternoon, 30,941

I am not having any cramping or discharge what-so-ever. The nurse today said today that if I was miscarring my numbers would be going down. I have myself prepraed for the worst and don't think that this pregnancy will make it, but has this happened to anyone else before? I had my levels drawn again today, but will not hear back until after 3 PM. Any help is appreciated.

I just wanted to say that I know what you are going through. I've been through two m/c's in the past year. Both times, I had no cramping, no bleeding, or any signs that things weren't normal. But both times when I had ultrasounds done there was no heartbeat..the first one at 8 wks, the second one at 7wks. It sometimes takes a while for your HCG levels to drop. My Dr explained it as sometimes it takes a while for your body to recognize that something isn't right with a pregnancy.

PM me if you need someone to chat with. Sorry you are going through this.
