By my calc's I am 10w6d pregnant. I began spotting a few days ago and was told to prepare for a mc. I had an U/S yesterday which showed the baby and sac measuring 7w but no heartbeat. They ran a repeat b/w and it too said I was 7w pregnant. We are now waiting on a repeat U/S Mon to see if a hb can be found then.

If the baby did stop developing 3 - 4 weeks ago what would my levels have done? Would they of stopped, kept going up as I have not m/c'd yet or start going down??

I'm so confused because @ 4w5d my beta was really high and the Dr was joking about twins but that was 6 weeks ago now.

Could it of been twins and one implanted late and that one is hanging in there??

I'm so sorry! It is typical for our levels to slow down to a standstill for a bit and then start going down, but every single case is unique. Sometimes our body won't give up and keeps working on retaining the pregnancy beyond its end. This is often the reason a doctor wants a d&c done so that it doesn't turn septic and start risking the mother's health. ((((Hugs))))
