Post HCG and Provera Q's

I've got a couple questions. I just recently started with all the fertility treatments. Did my first Clomid round this cycle -- required a shot of HCG to release.

Does anyone know if HCG is available in anthing other than a shot form?

Also -- what can some of you tell me about Provera? Is it pretty much guaranteed to start up the AF?

I live on a different continent from my hubby, and we have to time my cycles to our visits for a while. I have been reading about Provera, and my GYN mentioned it as well. Just wanted to hear from you all.

Thanks.

Hello there,

I finished up Provera about a week ago, and almost like clock work... AF showed up! I hadn't had AF in over 6 months, and Provera did the trick. The unfortunate part of it all is that I had forgotten just how nasty AF can get, but I'm thankful I'm atleast there! It worked for me, so I'm sure it'll work for you.

Good Luck,
~J~

In rare cases, I have heard of Provera not working. I have never heard of HCG available in anything other than a shot.

Good luck!

I am so glad the Provera is working for you. I have no success at all with it. I am on my 2 round of Prometrium 200mg for 12 days. the first round did not work either. I don't know what else to do. It's been 12 months and no AF.

Good luck.
