I posted to you the other day. I think the progesterone is probably preventing you from ovulating. Your chart looks annovulatory to me. The 5.1 p4 is probably a result of the progesterone you are taking and not that you ovulated.

Did your dr say anything about the results. Next month I would definitely question starting the progesterone so soon.

Penny,

Well it was the nurse that I spoke with and gave me the results. The doc just left me a message and said that I probably did not "O" and that my progestrone should be around 15. She wants to look at my chart. I am going in to see her on Monday and I am going to ask her about taking it after you "O". Thanks for the info...

Taking progesterone before you O will prevent you from O'ing. Progesterone makes your body think that you already O'd since it is something our bodies make AFTER we O.

5.1 is too low for ovulation my first two tests, before clomid, were 4.5 and 5.3 I was told this is too low for ovulation my third test, first round of clomid 50mg, was 10.5. My doctor said that was still a little low and she wanted it higher so she bumped me to 100mg this month. I have a blood test monday to see what my numbers are. For some it can take more than one round of clomid to get them to ovulate or your doctor may need to increase the dose.

Sorry KelleB, I agree with Penny. If you started the progesterone before you ovulated it would prevent you from ovulating. Usually you start progesterone after you confirm ovulation by either your doctor monitoring your cycles to see when you ovulated or by going by your chart.

If you go by charting though you should make sure that you definitely ovulated before starting it (for example, wait until you get crosshairs so 3-4 days after ovulation)

If the nurse again mentions taking progesterone before ovulating I would ask to speak to the doctor.

I agree with the other ladies. I think that the progesterone is preventing you from ovulating. I am surprised that your doc has you taking progesterone cd 9!
